Ganglion Cysts
December 8th, 2007 by adminIf you have a small lump that is on your hand or wrist, there is a good chance you have a ganglion cyst. A ganglion cyst can form when over-exertion is used from the hands or wrists. In most cases, ganglion cysts will go away on their own. If you have had one for many years and its not appearing like it wants to leave, you might have to seek other options to get rid of ganglion cysts.
One of the traditional methods for getting rid of a ganglion cyst is to get a book and smash the cyst. Fluids from the wrist have built up over time and are collecting in a sac that make up the cyst. Many people have used the Bible as the book of choice and has given the ganglion cyst the name of Bible Bumps or Gideons Disease. There are complications that can occur from this method, but suprisingly it has proven to be very effective over the years. Your best choice is to allow time for the cyst to go away or get your doctor’s advice on it.
Have you ever had a ganglion cyst before? If so, please be sure to tell your story and what steps you took to get rid of the cyst. Did you have to use a splint, a needle to extract the fluids, or maybe surgery was needed to remove your ganglion cyst? Or was you brave enough to try the book trick and just whack the cyst?
