A series of thunderstorms with some producing tornado activity came to town on Saturday in the downtown area of Atlanta, part of the Georgia Dome was ripped from the roof and there were windows blown out and all kind of debris in the streets. Patrons at the Omni Hotel had their luggage blown out in to the street. Tornado’s touched down in Polk county and Killing 1 lady. Its quite unusual for a tornado to hit a major city in the downtown areas and causing so much extensive damage.

Spring cleaning comes every year and this year is no exception, I have been in my garage throwing out stuff that I had held on to for 10 years. I know that now that I have thrown stuff away I will be needing it in a short period,it happens every time it seems. Spring time is my favorite time of year, you seem to get a extra spring in your step and wanting to do things you have put off. I know that being inside most of the winter has this effect on people, but I love the spring. A little more cleaning around the house and I will be set and ready.

My favorite time of the year is springtime. Everything is so fresh and new, the flowers blooming and the greenery comes to life, the air is crisp, and a feeling of well being takes the body over. The crocus are blooming and the daffodils have shown their colors. We have a beautiful country and it should be seen by all. If the opportunity comes knocking for you to travel take it and explore or country and see all it has to offer. It will be time to mow the lawn before long and the smell of fresh cut grass and fragrant flowers get your juices flowing. Come on Springtime.

Today I got to give my Rhino a good work out and see what its limitations are. I got drive for over 3 hours and only covered a little over 7 miles. I went thru some bottomless mud pits and hills that almost fell of their selves. If the name Sherman tank was not already taken I might have to call it that. But for now I guess the name Rhino will do. I have it figured out that if the tires are touching something the thing is going to go..

I had a eye wakening experience the other day when I had started cleaning out my garage and loaded a trailer with stuff I had kept too long and it was to be disposed of at our county dump. When I got to the dump I was charged $40.00 to unload my trailer. I had never been to this dump before and when I got to the top of the hill I was amazed. There must have been about 10-15 thousand sea gulls at the dump. Looking for anything they could ingest. Some of them flew in a hovering motion in front of a dozer that was pushing the trash to an end of the dump. There was one hill side completely covered with the gulls and it looked like a living hill. I have another load to take this week and I am going to take a camera and take a picture of this incredible sight.

Want to fly a Helicopter and keep it the air for a while, then I suggest getting one with a li-po battery it last much longer than the old ni mhi battery. At Tower Hobbies you can get a good heli for under 200 bucks , the axe cp-l micro heli is a heli thats ready to fly out of the box. This thing will fly inverted too ,talk about tricks and loops and probably a few crashes it promises to be very entertaining.

It’s cold in Georgia tonight and I can’t hardly stand it . My old bones don’t like the cold weather like I could bear in my younger days. The cold is not really that bad but you get those 20 mph winds with 25 degree weather and buddy I tell you it’s cold. The man says we got a couple of more days of this stuff before it starts to warm up and I can’t wait. If it were any longer I would have to head to Florida for a few days.

I just bought a cab enclosure for my Rhino and am proud to say that I was impressed with the material and craftsman ship of the enclosure. I searches a lot of places and they seemed to range from $350.00 to $1000. and I thought this was a little ridiculous for what it is. I went to e bay to see what was to be offered and I found the same closure that some were selling for the before mentioned prices at a mere $200.00 so I bought one and when it arrived I was satisfied. I would like to thank Brian Douglas at Kanyon ATV in Panguitch Utah for selling a quality product and at a reasonable price. I will do business with this company in the future.

Riding horses was a big part of my life as a child and growing up. I have skipped school more times to ride the horses than all other reasons combined. There was a little store by the school that we would go to the store and get a pack of Bull Durham cigarettes. We didn’t have equestrian riding apparel in order that we would look proper. I was an adult before I got to have any riding apparel. I guess it was just the times we grew up in, now a days you need your good looking Apparel for what ever type riding you do, barrel racing, roping or just a joy ride through the woods, The Equestrian Corner has the apparel you need.

I bought the Rhino by Yamaha, it’s a Utility Vehicle or a side x side. It seats 2 people, has a steering wheel and an accelerator and brake pedal, and it’s 4 wheel drive. Basically its a miniature Jeep. I have ridden many different vehicles in my life, but I do believe this thing is the most interesting of any thing I have ever driven. This little vehicle is a outdoors mans dream. The first day I had it I hauled a 6 point buck out of the woods with no problem, the third day I had it I hauled a 8 point buck from nearly the same location, again, no problem.
I have gone up and down hills that I would have sworn that I would have to put it in Low gear and 4 wheel drive with the differential lock on, and the darn thing done everything in high gear with only 2 wheel drive. I am sure that when I learn the vehicle a little better that there will come a time when Low Gear and 4 Wheel drive will be needed. Until that time comes I am a Happy Rhino owner. Having to use its full potential will be Awesome!

This evening I had my adrenaline pumping as I got a phone call from a neighbor and he told me that a white car had headed down to the lake, There is a dock at the lake and vandals have set fire to it, kicked the railing off the dock into the lake, thrown a picnic table in the lake and a grill too. They had started dumping trash there too. I was so furious with all this going on that I put up signs every where and put chains and cables across the access road to prevent further destruction. Well they have cut my cables and locks and still continue to destroy.
So Tonight when I got the call I got on my Rhino and went to see who was trespassing and what they were doing. When they saw my lights they got in their car and took off, but I caught them and had them hemmed in and the assholes tried to run me over on the Rhino, I got Pissed. I took off after the little hoodlums and they tried their best to shake me and loose me but the Rhino was more than they could shake. I was on that Chevrolet’s ass the whole way. They may have gotten away at the Main road, but I will bet anything that their front suspension is all out of whack from the rough dirt road they were trespassing on. At the speeds we were traveling on that rough road it has to be out of alignment. Rhino kicks Chevy’s Butt!

Well my Rhino did not come with a gas gauge and today I will try the magical feat of installing one myself. I figure 1 of 3 things might happen, 1st, I get it right, 2nd, I get it wrong, 3rd, I screw up my gas tank and have to buy a new one. I sure hope its the 1st one. but I have confidence that I will succeed. The part I dread is drilling a hole in my gas tank to install the sending unit and getting it adjusted right. The instructions are quite complete, but you never know what may go wrong. If all goes right then I won’t have to worry about how much gas I have anymore. If i blow myself up then thats a worry that i won’t have any way.
Wish me luck in this endeavor so that I may get to enjoy the Rhino a little better. I honestly think that thing would climb a telephone pole if it wouldn’t flip over on you. The Little Sherman Tank is on the prowl. Look out nature here I come!
