Obesity battle among US children may have peaked

The percentage of American children who are overweight or obese appears to have leveled off after a 25-year increase, according to new figures that offer a glimmer of hope in an otherwise dismal battle.

“That is a first encouraging finding in what has been unremittingly bad news,” said Dr. David Ludwig, director of an obesity clinic at Children’s Hospital Boston. “But it’s too soon to know if this really means we’re beginning to make meaningful inroads into this epidemic. It may simply be a statistical fluke.”

In 2003-04 and 2005-06, roughly 32 percent of children were overweight or obese, and 16 percent were obese, according to a study by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those levels held steady after rising without interruption since 1980.

The states don’t put much value into the health of these patients and so the receive sub standard treatment and sent on their merry way to recover for themselves.

I know that the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. And the next is to have the courage to do something about it. It is hard when you are sick and don’t know how to get better on your own and need help and you turn to the ones who are supposed to help you, only to find that they could care less because they are underpaid by the state to put up with your sickness. Quitting smoking

Well heres the up date,I have almost quit smoking. I have been taking Chantrix for 3 weeks and I was smoking 2 packs a day and now I have had 3 cigarettes in 2 days. I think I will actually do it this time, I hate those stinking cigarettes and the they are starting to taste like fidos ass.
