Growing Tomatoes

There’s nothing like a fresh picked off the vine ripe tomato. It can be eaten by itself, with a meal, in a salad, made into a sauce. What ever you do with your fresh tomatoes don’t matter, but you will know its the best when fresh. Today I saw something for the first time in a tomato, it was actually germinating its own seed inside itself, it looked like some kinda little worm growing inside with green head. Of all the tomatoes I have sliced in my life, I could not believe what I had seen. I bought this tomato a couple of weeks a go and it was not even beginning to rot, there were little tomato plants growing all inside of it. Maybe I should have planted that whole tomato, I might have grown a tree!!

Walk in Tubs are Great

I have experienced the pleasure of using a walk in tub for rehab purposes due to an injury I received in 1998. I used this thing 3 times a week and it is great the way they work. Yo walk in lock the door and it fills up with heated water and you talk about relaxing those tired and injured muscles. As we get older getting in and out of a tub can become overwhelming and dangerous to ourselves, but with walk in tubs you eliminate the danger, and you get clean and relaxed and invigorated. The cost of these great inventions are minimal compared to what can be paid for the luxurious type that can hurt you. Safety tubs look good and they will fit where your existing tub is. Don’t you or someone you know deserve a safety tub? Then let them know about them and the low cost for safety.

Rhino itis

I love to take my Rhino for a ride and see what kind of challenges to put it through. So far it has passed every test I have given it. That thing is incredible and Yamaha has done its homework on the making of this great UTV. I have climbed a 82 degree hill, NOT RECOMMENDED as I am a professional driver This is not a feat to try for the most part of the owners of these vehicles. I have traveled up and down creeks at a foot deep and more, been through thick underbrush with no problem, I have pulled fallen trees with my Rhino, and of course I use it around the house, the dump bed comes in handy. If you are looking for a UTV I recommend the Rhino.

Golf lingo is something that I know a little about, I my self am not a golfer , but some of my best friends are. I get to hear all the trials and mistakes they make. I also understand that the equipment you buy determines how well you can play. If you have junk stuff then you will play like junk. One name that has been tops for years on is Titleist golf, the reputation follows them like a gathering after Tiger Woods. Titelist has been the choice of Champions for years, and will be for years to come. Want to improve your game, if so buy Titelist and watch your score improve.

Car Show

Today I did what is supposed to be done in America, I carried my nephew to a car show in Canton Ga. and did we see some great cars of yesteryear. There was a Dodge Challenger R/T with a Ray Barton Hemi with 2,4 barrell carbs, that thing was a monster. With a little more work that car would easily bring the up wards of $175,000.00 There were some really nice rides there but the one that I liked best was a 1967 Chevelle SS 427 4 speed Burnt Orange. This was a piece of art in its self. I have no Ideal what the guy had in this piece of fine machinery but he is definitely a proud man, and his car proved it.

Are you saving money

The country is in a heck of a shape and people are loosing jobs, homes and pride. It’s not that most people aren’t stretched thin on the failing dollar, the problem is mainly decisions made without looking a long way down the road. I always say pay yourself first, that should be your priority. You make the money so why not keep some of it for yourself first. If you have savings accounts, then these times are a little easier for you to live. Sure the rates are down right now, but history tells us they will go back up, so pay yourself first, Always, and these troubled times won’t be such a hardship on your life.

Getting Tomato Time

There’s nothing like growing tomatoes in the spring and going out to that vine and picking a fresh ripe red tomato. Slice that baby up to go with your meal or make a sandwich out of it, either way you have got those taste buds exploding with the taste of summer. Lots of folks up north have never heard of a tomato sandwich, a little mayo on the bread and a slice of tomato, salt pepper and garlic salt, Mmmmmhhh what a treat. I am just now getting the soil ready to plant those delicious little fruits and 60-70 days I will be enjoying the fruits of my labor. Its worth all the work that goes in to it.

Building a new room or home

If you are building a new room or even a home then you need to prepare yourself to make the project as user friendly as possible. That computer room and the house as a whole need to be wired to accept a computer almost anywhere you are. If you buy bulk cable, then you can have connections all over the home. Set up that up to date network. Pre wire your project before you put up the drywall or whatever wall covering you use and everything will be out of the way, and there won’t be wires strewn about everywhere.

Almost Time for the Gardens

The weather is slowly starting to get a little warmer and now is the time to be working up the ground for all those gardens. I see one more cold spell in the forecast for Georgia and that should be our last one for now. I haven’t started plowing or breaking up any ground yet, but I think I will need to do that over the next 7 to 10 days. I think 10 days from now, we will be in the clear of any freezing temperatures. I made the mistake last year of planting too soon and my 90 tomato plants had to endure the freezing temperatures for a couple of nights. So I will be more patient in 2008 with my gardening and make sure old man winter is gone for good.

I don’t plan to have a big garden with all the drought forecasts that are predicted for North Georgia. So I will keep it small in case I have to water it by hand. I might just stick with growing the tomatoes this year and just pick up the other garden fresh vegetables from the produce stand. They aren’t quite as good as the home grown products, but as long as I have my home grown tomatoes I will be alright.

Bloggin the night away

Don’t you hate when you feel that you have run out of things to say and you get what they call writers block. By the way , who is they, we always hear so much about, it seem they, has a lot to say about a lot of things. If anyone knows the answer to this please let me know, especially if you have met they.

The Rolling Stones has teamed up with Martin Scorsese and released a concert .Shine a Light is in theaters now and is really disappointment to me as I am a avid Stones fan, For my money buy the dvd collection Four Flicks and crank up that surround sound and if your system is as good as mine, it’s like you have front row seats to a concert directed by the Stones which was much better in my opinion.

Not just any designer jewelry will do, it must be designed by the great Wendy Culpepper. Theres a lot of reviews going on and causing a stir in the celebrity circuit. The beautiful and talented Rachel Ray will attest to the craftsmanship from the noted designer. At this time a collection of fine jewelry has been designed for contributions from the sale going to charity, which is always a good thing. A total of 15% of the sale will be shared with 5% for Susan G Komen, 5% for Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, and 5% for the ASPCA. Blooming outside

The weather is great and the tulips are blooming, the air is fresh and those lazy flowers are awake and wanting to burst open with vibrant colors of good old mother nature. This is my favorite time of the year. Birds will be singing and humming around, I already spotted 2 Ruby throated hummers.

So I Got the feeders out and cleaned them up and fill with food now it time for the show to begin, Those aggressive males are very territorial over a food source and they give the little females a rough row to hoe. Springtime is Great!!!
