Bristol Racing

The past Bristol race had to be the bore of all races, not only was it a bore it was not action packed like it should have been. Jeff Burton took the checkered flag for his first win at Bristol Speedway. I was at Darlington SC Race and had hospitality passes for Cingular and met Jeff Burton. We got to drink all the free beer we wanted and had a good lunch that was provided but after meeting Jeff Burton I Could no longer be a fan of his, All he wanted to do was talk about himself mainly and his career at Nascar and refused to sign any autographs. That showed me the real Burton.

Cape San Blas

I have just returned from Cape San Blas Florida, and it was great. It is considered the forgotten coast. I stayed at a house on Cape San Blas that was the the old Saltworks for the confederate soldiers. They had set up a pit in the bay of St Joe and extracted salt from the bay , and we were in the Captain’s Quarters. It was away from the revelers that love to flock to the beaches in the spring. We had a beach almost exclusively to ourselves. The Saltworks got destroyed in the Civil War by the SS Kingfisher and then it headed north to take out Charleston. It was very secluded and Quite, we sat on the back porch and had our meals overlooking the bay. It was even a pet friendly place so our Jack Russel’s had a blast. So did we!

Nascar takes on Bristol

This Sunday the Sprint series of NASCAR take to the hills of Tennessee and they race the big 1/2 mile track. There will be banging and scrubbing and tempers flaring and some of the best dang racing you will ever see. I have been to Atlanta the fastest track on the circuit, Talladega another great track, and Bristol, The best of all of NASCAR. I love the Bristol track and the races there. Its like they are racing inside a bowl, and you had better have ear plugs if you go there because the noise level is really ear damaging. See you in Bristol!

American Idol

Well the talent on A I is at it again tonight and the way i see it theres a couple of possibles of the 12 that can make it. They keep getting the songs of choice wrong, but this week they had to choose from a song written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, so there was a wide selection to choose from, after all the Beatles influenced all of our lives and our music. I heard some good renditions tonight and I also heard some hack jobs. So I guess we will see who pulls it off this year.

Las Vegas Speedway

Jeff Gordon hit the wall hard with 5 laps left in the race and the restart is going to be interesting, it was the fault of Dale Earnhardt jr, on the restart Jr spun his tires and they stacked up and Gordon slid up the track and clipping Matt Kenseth.

When the race resumed it was Carl Edwards taking the checkered flag for the win. After doing his popular back flip out of his car for the second time in as many races he heads for victory lane.

The Fastest track in the circuit comes up next Sunday as they reach speeds of 200 mph at the Atlanta Raceway, the running of the Kobalt 500 will be a good one as always in Atlanta. See you at the Race! Nascar is the only sport, everything else is just a game.

A Whole New World for YouTube Star Alex

The YouTube Sensation Rocio Alejandra better known by her friends as Alex continues to send shockwaves through the You Tube community. She currently has over 60 videos of her self uploaded at YouTube. You can see Alex doing all sorts of things on her videos, but you can see that most of her videos are her singing. One of her most recent videos has a version of that popular song from the movie Aladdin.

You can see the young You Tube Sensation performing the song A Whole New World at Single Source Writing. Single Source Writing is a blog that is following all of Alex’s videos from YouTube. This is going to be an ongoing thing and a way to follow the YouTube Sensation on her way to stardom or where ever she might land at in the future. It should be interesting to see just how far Alex can go with her singing and musical talents. She has dreams and desires to do something in the music business one day and at this time she isn’t sure if she will be singing, playing music on her guitar, composing music or perhaps all three! She’s only 15 years old and has a world wide audience for her vidoes as she puts them together, at her home in Mexico.
