Jammin At the Castle II

Here I go again to the castle. This week I got a phone call from an old friend that I had not seen in 20 years, and we used to be a band together. He wanted to know if i would care to sit in on a jam session at a castle near Cartersville, Ga with some more old friends. I guess the word Castle got my attention so I said yes. I had get my equipment together and dust it off good, check it out to be sure it was still in good working order.

I got ready to go jam with my old pal, and got directions to the castle. Upon approaching the place I was to go to, I passed through 2 large stone columns. I drove out the concrete driveway for what seemed to be a half mile and came upon a old pole barn. The closer I got the more things started to unfold. Sure enough at the far end of the pole barn was a small castle that was built and the entrance was from inside the barn. On the other side of the castle was a western type Bunk House that you entered in the barn as well.

I had noticed a huge stucco formation coming into the barn on the end that I entered on and there was a cave built from the stucco. I was very intrigued by the imagination that someone had brought to reality. Inside the cave there was water running down a couple of walls and going down to the floor and following veins in the floor back to the holding station for re circulation. There was a Fire place built into the cave and a bed built into the wall.It was really neat. On the far end of the cave there was water running through a filtering device and a fan behind it and that was the air conditioning system that worked very well.

In the Castle there was a fire place that had a huge stucco art cannon over the fireplace.It
had some modern day furnishing as well as some old Renaissances in there. And the bunk house was ready for some rest after a long day on the range.

I finally got to meet the owner who is the father of one of our State Senators. I told him how impressed I was with his place. He told me that he still has a lot to do before its finished. He wasn’t telling what was next, he said I would have to come back and see for myself what he has in mind for the rest of his project. It’s real hard to try to explain what this place looks like, it’s one of those things you have to see to believe. I went through the place about 3 times and every time I would see something that I had missed before. The Next time I go I will take a camera and take some pictures and post them so you can see what I am talking about. See you next time I am Jammin At The Castle!

New tv’s

I just bought a new flat screen LCD TV to go in the den, and I am definitely glad that we made that purchase. The picture quality is so vibrant and alive, I have a Sony Wega 36 inch I have had for about 6 years and it still shows a great picture, especially with a DVD and the 5.1 surround sound. I can watch the Rolling Stones and it’s like I am sitting there on the front row of the concert. The new TV wont be watched much, but when i go to replace my Sony, you can bet that it will be theater like surroundings. Popcorn and all. I will probably get the 7.1 system and have the room ready for Mick and the Boys to come on in the house and Jam on out. You just got to love todays technology!

All day rain

It rained all day today the first time in months since I have seen that, we are supposed to get it for a couple of more days. We need it bad to help with the drought that we are in. I know you people get tired of me talking about the rain we need so bad, but it scares the crap out of me knowing that rationing may be a possibility. I sure would hate to see that happen. I know the the old guys before didn’t even have running water and they made it, and I guess we will to if it comes to reality.

I was checking out the Kubota R T V’s today, and let me tell you they have made some changes since their introduction.They now have a 4Wd with a steel enclosed cabin with air, heater and Am/Fm CD player. It has a 24.8 hp diesel engine 3cyl. that I believe to be probably the best one in production, this thing weighs 2365 lbs or something close to that. This thing is built to last. Rain Rain Rain

Its raining this morning and it is desperately needed, the weather man says we might have for the next 3 days. I sure hope hes right and it rains a good slow steady rain, but I will take what the man upstairs has to offer. I remember about 20 years ago , we had a lot of rain for like 2 weeks and I was talking to an older gentleman, and I asked him: Do you think we have had enough rain, he replied, I reckon not, because if we had God wouldn’t still be sending it to us. Talking dog

I have a little Jack Russell female dog who can talk. When she wants to get your attention she changes from barking to moaning like shes in pain and some times the makes noise like words are coming out of her mouth. One day I was driving down the road and she was acting up because she had to pee. I have become very familiar with this sign that she has to go, any way we were going down the road and she was acting up and it sounded just like she said mama. I looked over at her and said what did you say and she said mama again. I guess I will have to go see the shrink now.

Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed a big secret about Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore’s past – he was in love with another wizard.

During her American book tour JK was asked if Dumbledore found true love.

Fans at New York’s Carnegie Hall were initially stunned into silence by the announcement, but soon started clapping and cheering.

JK said: “I would have told you earlier if I knew it would make you so happy.”

The news should help to clear up lots of rumours about Dumbledore’s mysterious past once and for all.

“Dumbledore is gay,” she replied, before adding that he’d fallen in love with his rival Gellert Grindelwald.

But she said Dumbledore was “terribly let down” when Grindelwald became more interested in the dark arts than good, and so he went on to destroy him.

What is all the talk about professor Dumbledore being Gay. I don’t know yet how all this has come to life, but the Harry Potter series is for children and I don;t think that author J K Rowlinds would even suggest such a thing. When I find out the story I will post and let you know what’s going on with this story. I have to believe this is some kind of a hoax.

I’m going to Disneyland

Mini-bike Fun

There’s a new breed of mini-bikes these days, they have a gear reduction system on them and balloon tires which make it drive a little un-predictable. It’s not like a motorcycle, and it’s not like an old mini bike of the old days. The things have shocks on the front, but none on the rear, the balloon tire is supposed to give the impact of a shock, which it does to some small extent. The thing I like the most about the little machines is that the have climbing power and don’t run very fast. They are great for trail riding and a lot of fun can be had on these things, but always make safety your priority number 1.
