Growing Pot in Georgia#2

Well it seems as if my good old neighbor who was growing pot in his front yard wound up being stupid, he got busted for cultivating marijuana. I can’t believe that some knucklehead would think they could grow pot in their front yard and get by with it. I guess it takes all kind to make the world go round. Maybe he thought he was running one of those Tokin Cafe’s in Amsterdam. He’s gone and the pots gone, so maybe I will get a decent neighbor the next go round. i pray not to get a crack or meth head, if I do I might have to sell out and move myself. I do guess this will fall under the category of Organic Gardening. HA!

I really had a scare today, I had gotten my first speeding ticket ever and I have been driving for over 37 years. I knew that if I didn’t fight it that I had a fine to pay. I got online today to pay my fine ,and as I was looking at my ticket I realized I was to be in court this morning at 9:00 A M . Here I was at 3:15 looking to pay my fine. I got on the telephone and called and explained that I was to be in court this morning and I was trying to pay my fine. The lady was very helpful to me and told me that I had till 5:00 P M to pay or there would be a bench warrant issued. As I had the lady on the phone I told her that I was in the process of paying the fine as we speak. She stayed on the line with me to see that I was paying the fine, and when it got through to her ,she told me everything was O K and payment was made and no bench warrant would be issued. Thank God for the internet and bill paying online with our county office.

Cool Atlanta

We finally had a day today that the temperature was below 90, it hit 89 degrees. Whoopee, I felt like a cold front had moved in. I dearly love the great state of Georgia but if the temps keep on this way ,I may have to find another state to call my own. It feels good to cut off the a/c at about 2:00 am and open the windows because the temps dropped down into the low 70′s or high 60′s, theres nothing like good old fresh air in the early morning, sitting on the porch and drinking a cup of fresh brewed coffee. Its just plain healthy!

My Flying Squirrel

I have a bird house that is right outside my bedroom window, for the last 3 years I have a flying squirrel to take up occupancy in the bird house. The squirrel will stay a few weeks and then he’s gone, and in a few more weeks it’s back. I guess it is the same squirrel, but I am not sure. I know they are nocturnal animals, but I don’t know their habits. It will stick its head out a lot of the time and just watch what I am doing, He watches the Hummingbirds too but they buzz him and put him back in the birdhouse. Watching Nature is great and I love to do it.

Sittin on the porch

This morning when I fixed the coffee to get the day started, I opened the door and there was a cool breeze, the outside thermometer read a cool 72 degrees. Grocery Shopping
