Friday Night Frights

Friday nights called Friday Night Frights. This program had a host called Bestoink Dooley, Quite an ugly character that was supposed to be scary, I supposed to some viewers he was but to me he was just strange which could have also been his role.
I can remember when I was a small child there was a television program that came on
However bad the host was the movies were sometimes great. I can remember getting the _ _ _ _scared out of me. Now the horror movies are sort of funny since I am grown and look at them differently. What happened to the movies that would get you heart pumping so fast that your throat seemed to come out of you mouth. The ones that keep you on the edge of the couch with your knees shaking and eyes the size of Silver dollars. Just a thought from and old movie buff.

The Rolling Stones

Are you ready? The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World,The Rolling Stones,The Rolling Stones. These were the words in 1969 at Madison square garden in New York City, When The Rolling Stones were introduced. They put on a show that was second to none. The fact of the matter is they made an album at that concert ,titled, Get Yer Ya Yas Out! This selection of tracts put on the vinyl was magical it has the touch of Chuck Berry songs,That Chuck could never do like they did them. Keith Richards was at his best in this concert he was Rocking the house.Mick Jagger running around the stage like he could not be exhausted for any reason.

I was listening to some of my old music collection tonight and thought I would include the piece of history in my blog.It is truly a classic, If you have never heard this album before I strongly urge you to get the cd and put it in ,crank it up and enjoy some real Rock and Roll from days of yesteryear. You will Love it Guaranteed.

Do Unto Others…..

I recently visited a pharmacy and patiently waited in line, the way you would assume everyone does, when I witnessed American consumers at their finest.
“I want my prescription filled and I want it now!” was the hateful statement flying from the articulately dressed man in the front of the line. “I have been here 25 minutes and all you have to do is pick up the bottle from the shelf and hand it over the counter”. “What’s wrong with you people, every time I come in here I have to wait!”
The poor cashier tried very hard to explain that there was more to it than that, but she didn’t stand a chance. The customer began cursing and yelling until the poor cashier was so rattled that she could not have given the prescription to the man even if the Pharmacist had finished filling it. Thank goodness the Pharmacist took charge of the transaction before it could get worse, if it could have gotten worse.
I could not help but feel bad for the poor cashier. I wondered that if this were the customer’s mother, daughter, or sister would he be talking to her this way or better yet would he want other people treating her this way. As members of a civilized society, shouldn’t we take the time to think before we speak? Does the fact that the cashier doesn’t have a PHD mean they deserve less respect?
I think that more people should remember that the employee behind the counter is another human being that is just trying to make an honest living as best they can. And most of the time at a minimum wage. In other words Do Unto Others the Way you would have them do unto You…..and yours.
